A plain-language summary of how CalcTap handles data when you use our calculators and visit the site.

Effective date: January 1, 2025  |  Last updated: April 22, 2026

1

Overview

This policy explains how CalcTap and DP Tech Studio handle information when you visit the site, use the calculators, or interact with third-party services like analytics and advertising that support site operations.

We've written this to be as clear as possible. If you have a specific question, email us at support@calctap.com.

2

Your Calculator Inputs

CalcTap calculators run the calculation logic in your browser. The numbers you type in are used to show you a result on the page — they're not sent to our servers. That said, standard website technologies (like server logs, analytics, and advertising systems) may still collect technical data about your visit separately, as described in the sections below.

3

Server Logs and Technical Information

Like most websites, CalcTap may log technical details such as your IP address, browser type, device information, the page you came from, and timestamps. This is standard practice for keeping the site secure, diagnosing errors, and monitoring performance.

4

Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies and tools like Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are popular, where people come from, and how they navigate. This data helps us make the site better.

Cookies may also be used for basic site functionality, audience measurement, fraud prevention, and ad delivery, depending on your region and settings.

5

Advertising

CalcTap may display ads through Google AdSense. When ads are shown, Google may use cookies based on your activity on this and other sites. We don't sell your calculator results, but Google and its partners may process limited technical browsing data according to their own policies. You can read more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Where required by local law, we request consent before enabling ads, analytics, or personalisation.

6

How We Use Data

Data collected through logs, cookies, and analytics may be used to keep the site secure, understand which pages are useful, fix errors, prevent misuse, and support advertising where enabled. We don't use it for anything unrelated to running and improving CalcTap.

7

Third-Party Links

Some pages may link to external websites. Those sites operate under their own privacy policies. We're not responsible for how third-party sites handle your information.

8

Children

CalcTap is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our site, please contact us and we'll take care of it.

9

Your Choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings or the consent options on the site. Blocking certain cookies may affect some features, ad personalisation, or analytics tracking.

If you'd prefer not to enter salary, health, or financial information into a browser session, you're welcome to use the tools with example values instead. Avoid entering anything you consider sensitive if you're not comfortable doing so.

10

Data Retention

We do not store calculator inputs on our servers. Server logs (IP addresses, browser types, timestamps) may be retained for up to 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes, after which they are automatically deleted or anonymised. Analytics data (via Google Analytics) is retained for 14 months by default, in line with Google's standard retention policy.

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months so we can respond to and track support requests, then deleted. You may request earlier deletion by emailing us.

11

Your Rights (GDPR & Privacy Laws)

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
  • Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent for analytics or advertising at any time via the cookie settings on the site.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@calctap.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you believe we have not adequately addressed your concern, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12

International Data Transfers

CalcTap is operated from India. If you visit from the European Union, United Kingdom, or other regions with data protection laws, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may not have the same data protection standards. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for any such transfers.

13

Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the revised version will be published here with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to check back periodically if you'd like to stay informed.
