About these time & date calculators

Calendar maths is surprisingly easy to get wrong: months have different lengths, leap years add a day, and business-day counts depend on weekends and holidays. These tools handle those edge cases so you get an exact count.

Use them for notice periods, delivery estimates, project timelines, eligibility checks, SLAs, and countdowns. Each page explains whether the start and end dates are included, so the result matches how your contract or schedule counts days.

Tips for accurate results

  • Calendar days vs. business days. Use Date Difference for the full calendar gap and Working Days when weekends and holidays should not count.
  • Inclusive counting. Bookings and some contracts count both the start and end date. Add one day to a date-difference result when that applies.
  • Keep one time zone. For hour-level durations, enter both times in the same time zone to avoid an offset error.

FAQ

Time & Date calculator questions

Yes. Day counts use real calendar dates, so February 29 and century leap-year rules are applied automatically.
No. Holidays vary by country, state, and employer, so the Working Days Calculator lets you enter the number of holidays in your range instead.
